The Stanley Hotel
Estes Park, Colorado
This is the hotel that inspired Stephen King to write “The Shining.” It is said to be the most haunted hotel in the United States. They didn’t use it in the famous movie, but King (who *gasp* HATED the movie) did use it in his mini-series version.
Even though snow confused all my senses, I’m so happy I saw it dressed in all this white.
Also, there is a brewery down the street who makes Redrum Ale. I desperately wanted to take a couple bottles home with me (the label is spectacular), but 2500 miles with bottles rolling around the trunk.
